EA Sports Active: More Workouts Review
14 out of 15
The Very Best Gets Better

The emphasis on reinforcement (trainers shout encouragement all throughout your workouts) and quantifying all of your stats is excellent. You can track how many calories you’ve burned in any given session and track them across your six weeks (or presumably, much longer). Numbers make the whole business of working out satisfying, after all.

No one in their right mind will attempt to play this as a “game”, other than possibly looking at it as a great RPG in which the character is you and your enemies are fat cells (hey, working out is all about leveling up and grinding!). This is the very best “interactive fitness product” on the market, but make no mistake – if you come into this somehow expecting to be entertained, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Living Room jocks and stressed out parents, here is your ticket to weight loss. Toss Wii Fit, use the Jillian Michaels disc as a Frisbee, shove aside all of the pretenders. This is EA’s throne now – so go buy a resistance band and start sweating.
