Depending on your perspective, you may agree with Gamecock Media's assertion that the ESA's annual event, E3 is officially taking a dirt nap. People within the industry say that this year's show was better except for a few logistical problems, but others say that next year there probably won't be an E3 event to go to.

Gamecock Media, the start-up publisher founded by Mike Wilson and Harry Miller, believes that E3 is dead in the water, and to point an exclamation point on that sentence they hosted a mock funeral procession and eulogy for E3 last week. You can get an idea of how that played out by checking out these photos - in them you'll see some pretty strange sights including weeping formerly employed booth babes, mascots, men dressed as robots and chickens and even some stilt walkers.

While it's not as disturbing as the Godzilla Online booth announcer from E3 1999 (I remember your voice, sir, it still haunts my dreams), but it pretty damn strange. You can find out more about Gamecock and the great games they are publishing by visiting www.gamecockmedia.com .
