Lost Odyssey and Truth In Advertising

As I mentioned in my previous blog entry, I picked up Lost Odyssey. If you're a frequent site reader, you know that my favorite genre is FPS/Action, and RPG is probably at the bottom of my list. However based on the advice of a local retailer, I picked up the game. What the heck? I thought this was a thrilling RPG set in 1981, where a gamer has lost his KC Munchkin game which was in his Odyssey videogame system, hence the name "Lost Odyssey". That is completely untrue, instead it's another Japanese RPG where have to fight/avenge, or something. You see, this is why I don't buy RPGs on a regular basis. I thought an adventure game set in 1981 with an objective to recover a lost videogame would be pretty cool.
