Demo Master - 1:00
For this one set up is crucial. You only have one shot so you can't waste it. The basic plan here is to place two explosive barrels in the entryway of the first house. Then run to the middle and grab two more explosive barrels and place them in the entryway of the second house. The key in both cases is to complete the ring of barrels. Then, grab barrels from the middle section and start chucking them into the second house. When you have anywhere from 1:25 to 1:15 left, haul ass back up to the back of the first house and aim your rifle with the scope so that you can shoot through one barrel in the first house's entryway and hit a barrel in the second house's entryway. Once both barrels go off the resulting explosions should take out both houses.
Purge the Valley - 30 points
Broke the EDF Control of the Mariner Valley.
For this one just keep completing Marauder Actions and destroying targets and you'll get it eventually. Collection Achievements Ares' Bloodlust - 20 points
Destroyed the 4 Marauder War Totems.
Marauder War Totems look like a scarecrow created by a metal shop class drop-out. You can use the map provided by THQ at: http://www.thq.com/resources/conceptart/large/f3424dbe2f88fafff74d22415a76dc2b.jpg to find the totems. Look for the small, yellow squares on the map. Each totem will go down with one hit of your hammer and there's no reprisals for knocking them down so swing, Merril, swing.
The Power of One - 20 points
Collected 75 Marauder Power Cells.
Power cells look like large, shiny rectangles. You can use the map provided by THQ at: http://www.thq.com/resources/conceptart/large/f3424dbe2f88fafff74d22415a76dc2b.jpg to find them all. On the map they show up as blue dots, however the map only shows the area where the cell is. Just because you're in that area doesn't mean the cell will be easy to find but they do sparkle nicely to help you out. Check inside buildings, on the roofs of buildings, high, low, everywhere for them. After the first few you'll get the hang of finding them. If you get to an area and you see a building but no cell, try busting it down, or getting on top of it. Chances are the cell is there. There are more cells than needed for the achievement so if you're having trouble finding one or two don't sweat it. Finally, you'll only be able to nab 60 or so power cells before taking down the barrier in the third story mission so you can't get this achievement until after EDF control is broken.
Mobile Bombs - 10 points
Destroyed 100 EDF vehicles.
100 vehicles seems like a lot, but you'll get this one without even trying. The Heavy Metal Marauder Action requires you to take out 35 vehicles which puts you at more than a third of a way towards your goal. In the first story mission you'll have plenty of EDF vehicles that show up just waiting to be destroyed and in the final mission between the time spent in your tank and the time spent on the next vehicle's turret you'll get to 100 vehicles with no problem. If you're really worried, any time the EDF starts coming after you in between missions, kill both the driver and the gunner and then blow up the vehicle. Or just blow it up in the first place. Be careful how much of a ruckus you cause as you'll have to lower your wanted level to take on story missions and Marauder actions if you get it all of the way up to blinking red.
Structural Integrity - 20 points
Destroyed all Medium and High Priority Targets in Mariner Valley.
Step 1: Go to a high or medium priority target as marked on your map.
Step 2: Do everything in your power to reduce it to its component atoms.
Step 3: Cackle gleefully.
Step 4: Pick a new target and repeat steps 1 - 3.
Just like with the power cells you won't be able to get this one until after you finish the third story mission as the barrier will keep you from accessing a bunch of the targets. While you're in the tank in the third story mission you do have time to take out targets so feel free to do so. Just mind the health level of the tank.
