There’s yet another Ace Combat 6 downloadable plane, but this one is free. Also free this week is the Rock Band song “Still Alive” which is an original song from the game Portal, which is on The Orange Box for the Xbox 360. Nice to get the freebies every once in a while!
The downloadable Live Arcade game this week is Mr. Driller online, and I only have one word: why? The Dreamcast version of the game is available free on GameTap. There is a new online mode, but still, $10? Come on! It’s not worth $10. Stick with the original Dreamcast version on GameTap—you’ll have more fun.
Rounding out the 360 content is a new table for Pinball FX, and would you believe it’s an officially licensed Rocky And Bullwinkle pinball table? I didn’t believe it either but it’s true. So if you miss Rocky saying “and now here’s something we hope you’ll really like” over and over and OVER again, spend the 200 points and pick up this pinball table. Although I still recommend Pinball FX, I will say that the Williams Pinball Hall of Fame on Wii and PSP feels much more like a pinball game than Pinball FX…I guess it just has something to do with the flippers. But that’s just me.
That wraps up the abridged version of TWID for this week. Hurry back PlayStation store content. Until then I can take comfort in the solace that the Orioles will not go 0-162 this year. Perhaps 1-161, but not 0-162! Yay!
