Mission Three: The White Wing

Make your way down the mining tunnel until you come to some more scarecrows to the right. Take them out and then use the grim grip spots above you to make your way to the top of the shaft. Take out some more enemies and hop up the wooden ladder to go through the opening. Smash through the boards blocking the hallway and continue through to come outside to the winter wonderland. Continue forward and to the right, following the path. It’s a pretty long hike, but eventually you will come to a bridge and a cut scene.

Time to meet some new enemies The buster works pretty well against the Frost Demons but be careful as they can encase themselves in ice to regain their health. Once they are down, head north to another bridge and another cut scene. After Gloria has done her thing, head to the end of the bridge and go through the large doors to enter the castle. Enter the door on the left side and you will enter the large hall. Follow it around to the right and you will come to a smaller hallway on the left. Enter the door to enter the Torture Chamber and kill the scarecrows inside. Once they are down for the count, head up the stairs and you’ll find some grim grip spots here. This is one of the most frustrating parts of the game right here. You’ll need to zip from spot to spot without hitting the spikes on the ceiling. Sounds easy but it can go wrong in the blink of an eye.

If you do hit the spikes, you’ll fall back into the chamber and need to fight the scarecrows over again below and then come back up and try again. The key to getting across is to zip in quick succession from one to another. If you take too long you will launch upwards and hit the spikes. If you do it quickly, you will remain even and zip across without hitting the spikes. Once you are across the three jumps, head through the door and enter the grand hall. Head to the left and follow the path and you will come outside. Follow the stairs up and fight the two Frost Demons and head through the door at the end of the walkway. Follow the stairs around to the other side and go through the door. Fight a few more demons and head through the door at the end of the hallway.

Now you will be back in the grand hall and there will be a mechanism to the right. Smash it up and it will release the fields in the room. Enter the first door on the right to enter the gallery and kill the scarecrows inside. Once they are down, you will see your first Gyroblade in the room. You can’t use it just yet, so head through the next door and into the library. Head to the right and go through the open door there for a cut scene. Now you will get to face off against a few Angels. For these guys, you will need to hit them from behind to get your hits in. Once you give them a few strikes, they’ll fall over and you can go to town on them. Kill the rest that appear and then head for the yellow pillar and use it to get the Anima Mercury.

Mission Four: Cold Blooded

Now that you can use the Gyroblades, head to the side of the room and light the one up there with the devil bringer. Once it is lit, smack it with your sword a few times to get it spinning and then punch it to make it go. Smash through the door barrier and head back into the gallery. Some enemies will appear and to take them out with ease, just fire up the Gyroblade in here and let it loose. Once they are toast head back in to the grand hall and make a left.

Smash the giant mirror on the wall to find another blue orb fragment. Hop over the railing to get to the lower level and enter the door on the right side. Follow the hall to the next door on the right and enter it. Go through the dining room and in the next hallway will be a Gyroblade. Fire it up and smack it down the hallway where the fireball is shooting. Send the gyroblade spinning down to the end and it will smash the wall at the end revealing a secret mission point. Head to the right and go through the door and hit the mechanism there to open the iron gates to the hallway.

Head to the gyroblade and get it moving and push it through the gates to the hallway. Keep knocking it to the right, all the way to the end of the hall where the blue barrier is. Smash through and then push the gyroblade to the purple platform that you passed and set it on one of the free spots. Head back to the barrier you smashed through and do the same with the remaining gyroblade. Once the large blue barrier collapses, head through the door there to fight a big bad boss.

After the enticing cut scene, Bael will attack with his bulbous form. Don’t let his massive size fool you though; he is one of the easiest bosses in the game. The big frog has three main attacks that he will use for the duration of the fight. He will jump and try to squish you when he lands, but simply look for his shadow and move away from it as he comes crashing down. He will also shoot ice pellets into the air that will come down and freeze you if they touch you.
