Bethesda sent out a note clarifying a few things about the upcoming Knights of the Nine PC retail product and Xbox Live Marketplace downloadable content for Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.

Apparently there has been a bit of confusion on what the PC retail package versus the traditional download method from www.obliviondownloads.com . The idea behind the retail package is to give consumers that haven't purchased previous downloadable content to get it all in one package for the low price of $19.99. But you don't have to buy the Knights of the Nine PC retail package if you just want the new Knights content - you can simply download it on its own from www.obliviondownloads.com for $9.99. Likewise, those Xbox 360 Oblivion players that have already purchased all the other downloadable content from Xbox Live Marketplace can simply buy Knights of the Nine for 800 points. The PC retail and the Xbox 360 versions will be released on November 21st, with the downloadable content being made available to PC players at www.obliviondownloads.com on December 4th.

Finally, Bethesda revealed that the PlayStation 3 version of the game (which will include all of the previously released downloadable content) will be released in the first quarter of 2007. No details on why the game is being pushed back at this time.
