Valve Buys Turtle Rock
Studio behind Left 4 Dead snapped up.

Valve announced today that is has bought Turtle Rock Studios. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. turtle rock is an Orange County-based development studio currently working on a multiplayer focused action survival game called Left 4 Dead. The game pits four survivors against an army of infected human beings that resemble the living dead. Valve said that a close relationship with the company coupled with their desire to expand into the console market further, were key reason for the acquisition.
