EA Announces FaceBreaker
New boxing title from the creators of Fight Night
Date: Thursday, January 31, 2008
Author: Jeff 'Judasen' McAllister

EA has announced an all new boxing game title in the works entitled FaceBreaker, that will be headed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the Nintendo Wii. The painful sounding name conveys the damage that you will be able to unleash on the cartoon-inspired boxing opponents as they square off against one another. From the creators of the classic boxing great, Fight Night Round 3, FaceBreaker looks to bring the same great action with a distinctive and memorable twist. Each boxer will have his own unique likeness and personality to his boxing style and players will be able to upload a photo of their face using the Photo Game Face system, to add their likeness to their characters.

"Laugh out loud as you pummel your opponent with a barrage of blows to the face and watch in satisfaction as your progress is illustrated by real-time facial deformation. With haymakers, face shots and body blows, wait for the right moment to drop a super punch to make your presence known. Taunt your adversaries and flaunt your talent, by tying one hand behind your back to add ultimate humiliation to your bout. In FaceBreaker, it just feels good to rearrange your opponent's face."
