The folks over at Kaos Studios mentioned in a
post on their forums
that the upcoming FPS shooter for the PC and Xbox 360, Frontlines: Fuel of War will feature support for up to 50 players in the multiplayer portion of the game. There is already a 32 player multiplayer demo on Xbox Live right now, but the 50 player limit will ship with the full game when it is released on the 25th of February, 2008.
Kaos Studios mentioned that they have had the number of players up as high as 73, but they are deciding to keep it at 50, at least for the time being. 25 players against 25 players is definitely enough for one chaotic and tense fire fight. Frontlines follows the futuristic story of two warring factions, the Western Coalition (the United States and the European Union) and the Red Star Alliance (Russian/People's Republic of China) that are engaged in a war to secure the remains of fossil fuels left on Earth.
