No Portal Sequel This Year
Valve doesn't want to give more of the same

According to Eurogamer.net , it doesn’t look as though a sequel to Portal will be appearing anytime this year. In an interview with Valve’s Doug Lombardi, he states that the already confirmed sequel will be “In typical Valve tradition, it won't be Portal with different colors.”

Although the “experimental” game was a smash hit when it was released with the Orange Box, they don’t want to give gamers more of the exact same because "that would just be boring." "I think you have to be ambitious," Lombardi said. "For us, that's really paid off. Half-Life 2 was the right decision, it was painful, six years and upwards of 40 million dollars to develop, but that paid off. That's our recipe."

Egads.

Please don't be 6 years for Portal 2.
