Kicking off the countdown to the game’s release on April 13th, 2010, Ubisoft has officially announced that a single-player demo of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction for the Xbox 360 will be made available to players on March 18th.

“Splinter Cell was the franchise that defined third person action adventure games on the Xbox and we believe that Conviction will revolutionize the genre on Xbox 360,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “We are thrilled gamers will be able to get a little taste of why we are so excited about Conviction’s release in April.”

The single-player demo will feature the opening segment of the Michigan Avenue Reservoir level and serve as an introduction to the game’s core gameplay mechanics for Splinter Cell fans. Gamers will have the opportunity to find out for themselves why brand-new innovative features such as Mark and Execute and Last Known Position have made Conviction one of the most anticipated games of the year.
