For those of you in Canada, after some advertising for Xbox News on the xbox 360 dashboard, it has finally arrived and I’m guessing is not what most people expected.

While host Laura Niven, with a business-esque/school teacher appearance, complete with pulled up hair and pearl necklace, delivers the news of Dominoes, kids on planes and ....Bears, I’m certain some may have noticed that there is NO gaming news at all. While the news is pulled from MSN.ca, being on XBL, one would think it would be loaded with gaming news. Apparently, one would be wrong.

So this begs the question. Is this really a “news” channel or is it a hoax? Is it a viral marketing campaign that will break out into full swing after a couple episodes or is it really a truly random “news” channel that has absolutely nothing to do with gaming at all? Considering the only real information about the new series is scant at best on its official page , it doesn't do much to sway the conspiracy theorists.
