German censor BPJM has passed Gears of War 3 with no cuts, censorship or changes to blood color. This means that German versions of the game will be identical to versions sold in the US and the UK. The USK, the industry's ratings board, rated it 18. The BPJM is a state sponsored rating system. Both Gears of War 1 and 2 were rated under a "List A" classification in Germany, which means the games can be sold in stores but must be kept out of site, and all advertising and marketing is not allowed.

The latest rating is interesting because the new game hasn't changed much of its content. It still features chainsaw kills, 'stomping' and gory eviscerations. BPJM said that the body saw no "relevance for a ban" of Gears 3 in the territory.

So it looks like Germany will get the game the way it was meant to be seen.
