The other thing the P2P beam is good for is puzzle solving. There are some areas in the game that may require you to use weight or gravity to open up an area or activate a device. Using this innovative tool you can use objects to weight things like pulleys or the object itself and the enviornment (an example of that would be to use the roof to lift up a platform)..
Another useful tool is the AntiGrav Gun, which fires a glop at objects and makes them float. This gun can be used for a number of things like crossing environmental hazards or for a unique form of travel.
Interestingly when you do this to an object you can not only jump on them like blocks, but you can physically grab these objects allowing you to hover and move.. The idea behind these tools is to give players a multitude of ways to solve puzzles. For every puzzle there are multiple solutions using these and many other unrevealed tools in RoboBlitz.
Mianly you'll use these weapons and tools to deal with a number of robotic menaces. While details are still light on the full measure of baddies you'll have to deal with, a few interesting characters have been revealed that we can tell you about. They include the lowly bobble drones, who serve as scouts for the invading pirates (these guys tend to gang up on Blitz but run away when attacked directly); the Sawbot, who is equipped with two tungsten blades that are used in conjunction with a spin attack for precise slicing and dicing; the Fan Cake, a highly mobile circular fan robot equipped with two glowing eyes and two canons to match; and the Mortar Monk, a robot that looks like his name implies and has the ability to
fire precisely aimed grenades at you.
Luckily not everyone in the game is out to get you. Blitz has Carl on his side. This helpful little robot helps Blitz make tools, weapons and upgrades using the upgradium you'll collect along the way. There's not too many details about this aspect of the game so you'll just have to use your imaginations to fill in the blanks, but we do know that many of the aforementioned tools and weapons are crated using this system..
According to the developers RoboBlitz will be released in November via Xbox Live Arcade and will contain 19 levels, 7 unique environments, and about a dozen weapons, tools and upgrades. A Leaderboard system will be in place at launch, along with Xbox Live Achievements, with extras goodies promised after release like Multiplayer mode and new maps, weapons, characters, game modes, and more.
RoboBlitz will be priced at 1200 points and will be released in November. 1200 points may sound like a lot of virtual cash, but if the game can deliver on its promises then it will be worth the price of admission. The game will also be released for the PC and is rumored to have some extras that the 360 version won't have. You can learn more about the game by visiting
