Joining Xbox Live Arcade announcements, Microsoft revealed a partnership with Netflix to bring their service to Xbox 360. Not only will you be able to watch movies through the console, you can even open up viewing to your friends online.
Of course, games are what really drive any console and Microsoft had plenty of new ones to announce. Scene It: Box Office Smash kicked off new game reveals, followed by the Codemasters-developed You're in the Movies. Simply stated, the latter is an EyeToy: Play clone that uses the Xbox Live Vision camera for a variety of mini-games. The long-rumored Lips also received an official unveil. Clearly inspired by Karaoke Revolution and Sony's smash hit SingStar, Lips comes packed with a lighted, motion-sensitive microphone and allows you to sync music with a Zune or iPod.
These exclusives pale in comparison to the final announcement of the briefing: Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy XIII to the Xbox 360 in addition to the PlayStation 3. Once an exclusive to Sony's system, it will now be released on Xbox 360 simultaneously. It may not be the next Halo, but it certain changes the landscape of the console war.
