The whole premise of Bulletstorm is right in your face as soon as the demo loads up.
Kill with skill.
That sums up the whole idea behind the first person murder spree that you wade through as wave after wave of enemies come rushing at you. The demo is a small taste of what the full game has in store and while the full game will feature a full-length campaign, the demo limits you to one scenario entitled Echoes-Collapsed Building.
As you start, you are treated to an earful of obscenities and various forms of name calling. Once the pleasantries are out of the way, you check your weapon load outs and then the real fun begins. Having an assortment of guns at your disposal is an easy way to get kills, but the crux of the game is to be as unique and creative in your kills as possible.
The demo limits you to three different weapons: the default rifle, a large pistol called the Screamer and a grenade launcher called the Flailgun, that tosses bolo-style chain linked bombs. Each gun also has an alternate fire mode that helps change things up and put an extra little hurt on your foes. In addition to the weapons, you also have a leash that you can extend and use to whip and pull enemies from long distances. The leash can be used to pull enemies towards you in a slow motion effect- which you can then either shoot as they come slowly hurdling towards you or you can charge the leash and make the enemies “thump” off the ground and launch into the air.
