Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant Review
7 out of 15
A fight to see which is more annoying, loading screens or bad camera views

Technical problems aside, this Crash outing just isn't that much fun. You run and jump around, smacking down small enemies and collecting mojo until you get to some huge, walled in area with a boss, or several bosses which you have to use the mutant du jour's special power to defeat. Once that boss is down, you jack the new mutant afforded to you and go back and do it all over again. The mutant jacking in Crash of the Titans added enough novelty to the platforming to sustain that outing, but it's not new anymore, and as such, isn't as entertaining. It's a shame that the polish afforded to all of the passive elements of Mind over Mutant didn't rub off on the actual gameplay, because if it did, you'd have one heck of a platformer here. Instead you have a bunch of very funny moments connected by some very annoying technical issues, which is about as much fun as it sounds. Oh Crash, we hardly knew ye.
