When bite sized leaves you plenty hungry.

You'll travel through a bunch of parking lots and warehouses, past a whole bunch of trucks and then—boom—before you know it, you're at the finale in an oh-so small truck depot. Along the way ammo and weapon drops are plentiful, much more so than in the main game, but for every item designed to help the survivors there are plenty of choke points that just scream "cattle herding" as our hapless quartet is shuffled on to their doom.

Even the minuscule finale area looks designed to kill off survivors with a token chain gun for defense, but no room to run should you need to play a rousing game of Bait the Tank. When playing the campaign it isn't a big deal, but in versus the level design seems to place a much higher emphasis on the special infected. Being able to get a versus match over quickly is great, however when it feels like one team is handicapped right out of the box, it's less great.

Other less great things include the various game bugs and glitched achievements present in the 360 version. As a special infected you can walk through walls or float through terrain. Some achievements won't pop when played in any online match, requiring some crazy combination of system link lobbies, multiple controllers and black magic in order to obtain. Adding insult to injury is the fact that 360 owners must pay seven bucks for the content whereas PC owners get the chapter gratis.

Crash Course certainly isn't a bad piece of content, it's just not a slam dunk if you have to pay for it.
