Checkpoint One: Escape
When the mission starts you will be doing the required tutorial mission to begin with. Follow the on screen instructions and they will tell you how to do the movements needed. Wait until Johns is done talking to you and he goes over to Pixie. Walk up behind him and snap his neck. When he goes down, turn around and run for the hatch that the other prisoner opens. Drop down the hatch and you will be given more instructions. Jump over the barrel and climb down the ladder. When you reach the bottom, grab the pack of smokes and to the right there will be a maintenance worker fixing a door. Hop down to him and give him a few punches in the head and take his keycard. Go through the door and there will be a guard walking back and forth the next hallway. Use you stealth vision and crouch and sneak up behind him to take him out.
When he drops, drag his body back to the darkness and grab the vent tool on the ground. Head to the end of the hallway and make a left to the stack of boxes. Climb up them to the overhead railing and climb your way over to the vent on the opposite side. Go through the vent and drop down on the other side. Grab the med module on the ground and use it on the med machine. Use the machine for a health boost and make your way around the corner. Go through the next door and there will be a guard on the left side. Walk towards him and when he sees your shadow he will attack. Grab his gun when he attacks and take him down. Climb up on the blue-ish box and from there jump up to grab the ledge above.
Shimmy over to the right and hop up where the opening is. Head left down the hall through the door and into the elevator. Make your way outside and there will be a guard walking back and forth. Wait until he goes to the right and stops. Creep up behind him and take him out and grab his gun. Once you have it, climb down the ladder and shoot the lock off the sewer entrance. For the next part, turn on the flashlight, or off if you like and simply follow the flares in the tunnel and kill each guard as you come to them. When you reach the end, the mission ends.
Checkpoint Two: Prison Yard
After the long intro, you are back in your cell at Butcher Bay and need to find a way out. Head out of your cell and go to the right. Talk to Barber and he will tell you that there is someone in the courtyard that knows you. Leave him and go around the corner and into the open cell. Talk to Waman who is lying down and he will ask you to kill Molina when he gets out of lockdown. Accept the mission and make your way back out. Head to the left and go through the hallway on the right. Talk to Jack and he will tell you to speak to Haley. Go up the stairs and outside to the courtyard. Walk over to the left of the pit and talk to Matteson there. He will tell you that he has a shiv for you in his bunk that you can have.
Walk around and talk to the rest of the people in the courtyard and like Haley, they will want Rust dead as well. Go back inside and make a right when you get to the cells. Enter the open one and two thugs will enter behind you. Take them out with some good punching and blocking and head back out to the courtyard. Talk to Matteson again and he will tell you to go to your cell and wait for a shiv. Do so and scene will play between him and Rust. After the scene is over, go the open cell across from Waman’s and beat the snot out of Molina. Grab the knuckleduster off the ground and go across the hall to talk to Waman and get a pack of smokes for your trouble. Go around to the other side as well to talk to Shabby and he will give you a secret code for a locked door which you will use later on. Make your way back outside to the courtyard area and go through the entrance on the other side to where Rust and his goons are.
Checkpoint Three: Aquila Territory
Walk down the hall a bit and lure each goon towards you. Fight them as they come and make sure you keep you blocks up to save some health. Go around the corner at the end and there will be a goon there who throws a fire extinguisher at you. When he comes to fight, try to take his shiv from him if you can. Kill him and equip it. Continue along the hall and you will have a few more guys to fight until you reach Rust at the end. After you kill him, a long scene will play and you can start to make your way back to the courtyard to talk to Haley. When you do, he will tell you about the pit and the infirmary and for you to go talk to Bulder. Go back to the cell block and around the hallway to the gate where Bulder is and have chat with him.
Checkpoint Four: The Infirmary
Go through the doors to the infirmary and inside there will be two guards and some patients. Go through the door on the left by using the keypad and pull each guard in one at a time by flashing your weapon. When they come in, preferably the weapon wielding one first, hide in the shadows and sneak up behind them to kill them quick. After they are both dead, grab the key card from the body and go through the next keypad door. Kill the guard in there as well and be sure to use the med station. Enter the hallway and make a right to a ladder. Climb up and enter the next hallway. Go through the door and the door at the far end will have a guard come through. Hide in the shadows to the right and wait for him to come to you.
When he does, take him out from behind and go through the door he came from. Go through the service hatch on the right and creep past the flashlight using guards to the next vent shaft. Continue through and you will come to another room with a guard. Kill him from behind and you will come outside and to another guard. Kill him and hide his body while you take the key card. Use it on the lock for the door in front of you and enter. Around the corner in the next room will be another guard to kill. Grab him from behind when he is at the far end and go through the door to come to the mainframe entrance. Enter the room and you will be at the top of the DNA sampling room.
Checkpoint Five: Main Frame
Follow the catwalk to the right and jump over to the ledge along the wall. Walk along it and go to the back of the machine. Walk along the beams and jump back towards the wall to land on the lower ledge. Kill the service guy there below on the ground and use the machine. When your DNA is scanned, grab the machine gun in the corner and the ammo. Some guards will enter through the door now on the left so be ready for them. Take them out and continue down the hall. When you go into the room on the right, a guard will toss a grenade at you that will blow a hole in the wall. Clear the debris and hop into the room.
Kill the guard in there to the left and open the electrical panel to stop the fan from turning. Climb up the short stack of boxes across from it to reach the higher stack and jump across to the fan. Crouch through and make your way to the far left. Shoot through the opening in the fence floor to kill the guards below. Drop down and make your way to the end of the hall where more guards will appear. Take them out and make your way to the right and there will be a large room with two guards on a walkway at the far end. Take them both out and use the med station on the wall. Head to the left side of the room and crawl through opening there to enter a foggy and steamy passage.
Move forward and turn off the valve on the left. Continue forward slowly and a guard will toss a grenade that will blow another hole in the wall. Take out the two guards and go through the hole. Crouch along in the shadows and a few more guards will appear with their flashlights bouncing. Take them out and make a right to another room with a med station. When you enter you will hear a guard talk so be ready. There are actually a lot of guards in here and they are chickens that hide behind crates. Kill them all and then a riot guard will come down on the elevator. Run around and lead him away from the elevator so you can jump on it. Go up and you will be heading back to cell block A now.
Checkpoint Six: Prison Yard Riot
Go through the door there and the second right turn to come to a valve, turn it and it will open the gate to let you into the cell block. Go back out and down the first opening and it will take you down some stairs to the jail floor. Take out the guards and turrets on the walls and make a right down the first hallway. When you get to the end, go left and some guards will appear. Kill them and continue along until you come to the open door on the right. When you go through, you’ll see the gate will be locked and you need to find a radio to get through. Go back to the stairs where you first entered and make a right to the gate there. Kill the two guards there that open it and grab the radio from them. Make your way back to the courtyard gate and a short scene will play as you jump into the pit.
Checkpoint Seven: The Pit
When you land and are back in control, you will be told that your flashlight is going to die in 6 minutes...wonderful. Turn around and go through the door. You’ll know it’s the right one because a dweller will bolt past the doorway in the hallway behind it. Go left and then through doorway on right. Go left again and then the first door way on the left again. Follow this passage until you come to another doorway on the left and follow it around to the right and down a ramp. Go left all the way to the end and then right all the way to the end again. Make a left down the last passage there and there will be a valve handle there that you will need.
Do the exact opposite to get back up to the surface floor and make your way to the gate that you need the valve for. When you go up the ramp, make a right to the next hallway and then a left to the end of that hallway. When you reach it, go left again to the gate and use the valve to open it. When you go through, just follow the flares through the doorways they are at and you will run into Pope Joe. This whole mission is pretty quick, but the major pain in the ass is the dwellers. They die easily but when you have some surrounding you and scratching at your back, it can get a little tricky.
Checkpoint Eight: Pope Joe’s Den
After you meet with Pope Joe, he wants you to get his voice box back. Grab the flares out of the box along with the shotgun ammo and start your way back to the elevator. When you go down, head to the left and go through the opening. Follow the hallway along to the right and you will eventually come to a room with dwellers dancing about inside. Shoot the barrels you can see inside to kill a lot of them and then enter and finish them off. To the right will be a small room with a med module and a pack of smokes and a room down a bit further on the right will have the voicebox in it. Once you have it, a lot more dwellers will come out of hiding. Kill those in your way and book it to the elevator and go back to Joe. After you talk to him, a long scene will play and you will come out of it with your eyeshine.
Checkpoint Nine: Dark Tunnels
Crawl forward through the tunnel and when you come out continue past the fence on the left until you come to an opening there. Go through and make a left and then a right at the end of the room to reach a ladder. There are a few dwellers creeping around here so keep your eyes open and shotgun loaded. Climb up the ladder when you reach it to get to pig city.
Check Point Ten: Showers
As you come up the ladder, you enter the guards building in the shower area. Make your way out of it and through the change room the only way you can go. For a better advantage on the guards that will appear, turn off all the light switches and use your eye shine ability to get the jump on them. There will be about 4 guards that enter the change room and two more out in the hallway. Take them all out and take there weapons and for an added advantage if you prefer, you can open the lockers in the change room and find a uniform to wear. That was you can walk around the hanger without being attacked, but guns blazing is a lot more fun right? Of course it is, but it’s up to you. Go to the right, down the hall for a few more enemies and a med station.
When they are dead or if you just didn’t need the health head to the opposite end of the hall. Go through the doorway and the next room will have enemies on the floor and along the walkway at the top. Take them out and go through the door on the right. In here will be some more enemies and a box caught between some doors. Watch your back, as you go near the box, more enemies will enter from the next hallway. When they are all dead, head down the hallway where they came from and you will come to a room with a large hole in the center of it.
Head to the other side and follow the hallway along. Kill the enemy standing around and you will come to a large door on the right with a guard sitting down. Kill him and there is a retinal scan for the door to use. Do so and it will alert guards that an unauthorized person is using it. An enemy will coming running around the corner from the right, so kill him and go through the door there yourself. Follow the hall to the next door and the hunt for Abbot begins.
