Enter the room and it will be another block moving puzzle. I really hate these. To start off, you will want to move the block so that you have access to the ladder on the right. When you climb up it, climb down the next ladder and pull the lever there to drop the ladder on the other side of the room. Now you need to get there. Head back up and over the ladder to the beginning. Now this is a little hard to explain so I’ll just tell you where the boxes should be instead of every little move to get them there which end up confusing you more. At the first ladder stand to the left of the entrance, line up 4 boxes along the left wall and have one box on the right side of the ladder.
On the other side of the ladder platform you want to have two boxes beside the row of boxes along the left wall, so that the boxes make an L shape. You should also have access to each ladder so far. Now climb up the second ladder platform and down to see a box under the platform and a box blocking the ladder you lowered. Push the box under the platform out and climb the ladder. Climb down the other side and continue to pull the box. You will end up pushing it over in front of, but not blocking, the ladder you climber to get to the lever. Once it is in place, head back up the ladder to get to the box that is blocking the lowered ladder and move it under the platform where the previous box was. Now you can head up the lowered ladder and pull the box there to activate the counter weight.
Now that you are back in the fountain garden, use it again and head through the open door and go through Carlos’s room to get back out to the Bailey. Go through the Eastern door with the Veterans key and save your game. Go through the next door and you will enter the Kennels. Kill the pups in here and then enter the room on the left. When you enter, you will be show two green tubes where enemies come out of and 6 blue ones on the sides of the room. Use Tal and immediately smash each of the blue tubes to stop more enemies from entering. Kill the guards in here and when they are dead, go through the gate beside the vine wall.
Now you will need to make a bridge for Nico while she is on the catwalk above. Again it is a moving the blocks around puzzle, but this time the blocks are walkways with railings that need to be in certain spots. There are two large bock bridge pieces that are useless so don’t worry about them, you just need to move them out of the way to get the real pieces in. Also there are more pieces in the back row. Due to the crappy camera angle it doesn’t look like there is, there are. Again, this puzzle is a lot easier then the last one, although the only tricky part is to get the last two pieces in place, move the walkway with the straight railings up the right side first and then move the L shaped railing piece right behind it.
Once you get Nico across, she will activate the counter balance and you will need to head back out to the courtyard. When you get there, have Alexine climb the ladder on the left side of the door. Run across the blocks and climb up the second ladder to the spot that you can dispel. Do so and the gears will be exposed and the gate will open. Tal will run through and a scene will play with Geren. After the scene, a battle with the Behemoth starts.
The Behemoth is actually one of the easiest enemies in the game; he just takes a really long time to kill. To start, hide behind a bunker wall and let him fire two rounds of energy blasts at you. After he fires two, run to the closest wall and swipe at the eye ball there. Immediately run to the other side of the room and hide behind the bunker wall there. Wait for two more rounds to come at you and then swipe at the eyeball on the wall beside you. When both are hit, the Behemoth will be open to attack. Enter the center and wait for the Behemoth to swipe his axe at you. When he does, side step and his axe will stay in the ground. Get behind him and you should have time to unleash two combos into him. When he gets up and swipes again, do the same. At that time you’ll hear the siren go off. You have 4 siren bells to make it behind a bunker wall before the Behemoth lets out a massive explosion. After he does, keep repeating the same pattern over and over until he finally falls.
After the scene with Geron, Head through the gates to get out of the castle and head across the drawbridge. Save at the book and use the portal to reach the shadow world. Once you are there, use the portal stone to reach the Devil’s Belch Canyon portal. Save your game at the book and head into the abandoned check point and head to the Cyantine Citadel. When you reach the bridge at the top, a scene will play and everyone will unite in the castle. After the scene, Elco is in a chamber with the crystal and is given the choice of stealing it or leaving it. Choose which ever you like and Talos will show up. Make your way through the ruined courtyard and across the bridge, down through the abandoned checkpoint to the portal at the bottom. Save and then head through to the Shadow World. Make your way to the portal that will take you to Illumina and hop through.
Illumina Countryside
Make your way through the country side to the castle checkpoint. You’ll have a few battles along the way, but Talos kicks mucho ass, so let him deal with a lot of it while you keep to the rear. Enter the check point when you get to it and follow the path up to the castle.
Illumina Castle
After the long scene with the queen and Lord Talos, Head out of the palace and hang a left. Go through the door there and cross the Coastal Balcony. When you reach the end, climb down the ladder on the left and go through the tunnel there. Climb up the next ladder and enter Luscia’s Garden. Talk to Tilly in the center of the garden and a scene will play. After the next scene, you will be on your way to New Brightwater. Since there is no short cut to get there, head down the castle checkpoint and out to King’s Road.
Illumina Countryside
Now you have to make the long, perilous journey to New Brightwater while trying to keep Tilly alive. When you enter Kings Road, a very long battle will start with a lot of Alkorian Soldiers. Kill them all and continue your way to New Brightwater. You will a lot of battles along the way so be sure to use your Nano-Enhancement often. After you go through Parham County and Brightwater Beach, you will finally reach New Brightwater. Head to the big blue house in the center of town as earlier at the beginning of the game and another scene will start. After the smooching, head for the portal stone that is beside the lighthouse.
Take the portal to the Shadow Realm and then to the Devils Belch. Head up the abandoned checkpoint and all the way through the castle. When you finally reach the courtyard, walk up to the palace gates and your quest will be completed. It’s quite the long run and you may have to fight a few times. When you finally reach the palace doors, sit back and watch the long scene as Caprine tells you what the latest scoop is. After Caprines speech, hit the inn if you need health and the black smith and Kamo’s if you need Items. When you are ready, head back to Caprine and save at the book there. Talk to her when you are ready and she will open the Void.
The Void
After you talk to Caprine, she will open the void and you will be transported there to meet the last boss. After the scene with Talos the battle with him will begin. Depending on what level you are at, will depend on how long this battle will last. I was only level 21 and it took a really really long time to defeat Talos. He isn’t difficult as long as you use your blocking shield very often. Let him attack you while you block and then counter attack.
After a few hits, he’ll use one of his 3 attacks. His three attacks are: 1) he’ll create two more copies of himself and all three will chase you around. When he does this, you just need to run away from them and the two copies will fade after a little while. 2) Is where he summons a skull that, when it hits you, will affect you with every status ailment there is. Also Talos will receive 4 status changes and will be a bad mofo when he starts moving. As long as the skull is flying around you can hit Talos with out him fighting back. As soon as the skull leaves, Talos will attack. Keep your shield up the whole time until his statuses wear off. 3) The third attack he uses is the worst one.
He will slow everything down and then will attack you with lightning speed. Blocking doesn’t work at all and Talos will hit you with each hit. Make sure you have healing handy and you have Iron Warrior activated. Talos will keep repeating these same attacks over and over until you have him down to a sliver of health. When you do, he will attack with one power shot that will take all of your life but 1 point. Use a potion to regain all your health and start wailing on Talos as he stands there. That’s the only time he’ll use that attack until you finally finish him off. When you do finally defeat him, sit back and watch the ending movie and enjoy a game well done!
