The Heretic

This opening level is nothing more than an opening scene to help those who played Halo a long time ago remember the story as well as to get those who never played the first game to get up to date on what’s happening. After the scene, you will be in control of Master Chief in the armory.



The Armory

Simply look at the lights when you are told and then hop in the contraption to be shown the shield generator and how it works. After you do that, follow the Master of Guns to the open car and follow along as he talks. Watch the award ceremony and then the covenant will attack.



Cairo Station

After the awards scene, head down the stairs on the left and grab yourself a pair of SMG’s off the wall. Continue down the stairs and you will enter the recreation room as the Covenant starts to come through the door at the end. When they enter, fire full tilt as they rush into the room as well as taking out the enemies on the top floor as well. When the rest of the team rushes through, follow them and make a right down the hall to find a few more. Kill them and continue right and up the stairs there. Make your way down the hallway to the next set of stairs leading down. Take out the enemies there and continue forward to the next large room with more of your teammates in it. Fight your way to the far end and go through the opening on the left there.

Head up the stairs and through the door on the right and you will come out to a loading bay. Kill the swarm of Covenant in here as they jump through the openings on the far wall by staying on the balcony. When they are all toast grab the grenades and ammo up there and then hop down to see your ships blowing up outside. Head out the door to the right side and follow the corridor to the left and follow it around to the next loading bay. Kill even more Covenant enemies that arrive and when they are wiped out, you will be told that they are leaving the Athens right before it blows up. Now you will be on the hunt for a bomb aboard your ship.



Priority Shift

Make your way down the stairs on the left in the loading bay and go through the green lit door. Follow the corridor there to the end and go through the door and up the stairs to enter the armory. Kill the large enemies there and make a left to the open area to enter the Common room Blue. Enter there and there will be a rush of enemies to take out along the ground and with cannons. Continue through the room and make a left at the end to go through the open door. Head up the stairs and out the door on the right. Go through the corridor to the end and through a few more greens door and hang a left. Pop the enemies at the end of the area here and follow the white coats to the second green door on the right.



Authorized Personnel

Enter and you will have to take down two elites at the end of the passage to get past. When you do, you’ll be outside the ship. Drop of the edge and make your way back to the large door behind you where there is an enemy floating around. Take him down and go through the door to run into more of your team. Enter the large room and there will be a lift dead ahead that will rise with a swarm of fly like enemies on it. Take them down and wait for the lift to come up. Hop on it when it does and then use the panel to activate it. Kill the Covenant there and ride the lift down. Go through the door on the side when it stops. Head out side and run across the area taking down the flying enemies. Run to the door on the left labeled Fire Control and enter it.



Return to Sender

When you enter the door, you will be told that there are a few Elites guarding the bomb and that you may need to get creative. Enter the room and use the box there for cover. After you take a few out, rush into the room and take out the remaining three elite Covenants left over. When they are dead, the mission ending scene will play.

Outskirts

They’ll Regret That Too

Walk forward and head through the doorway there. Make a left and continue down the stairs to reach an open outside area. Take out the enemies on the far left and head into the opening there. Head up the stairs on the left and follow them around to the left to another set. Go up them as well and then the street will fill with grunts and Elites. Take them all down as they appear and then hop down to the street. After they are toast, watch for the elites that come down the ramp and out to the street. Take them down as well and a ship will fly in to drop more grunts. Take them down and the marines will talk about blowing the gate. Let them blow it up and two Hunters will enter. Use run and gun technique to hit them from behind to bring them down as well as some cover when they fire their green beams at you.



When they drop, head through the blown gate and follow the passage around to the next open area where there will be some jackals with shields and one with a sniper rifle. Take them out as the Pelican picks up a Marine and takes off. Continue to the far end and around the right corner and you will come to more Jackal snipers. Pop them and make your way down the alley on the left side in the center. There will be a lot of elites and grunts that come running down the alley at you, so take up a position and snipe them as they come. When all is quiet, continue to the end and make a right. Walk towards the fire fight and help the marines clear the enemies. When they are dead, talk to the marines and he will lead you to the crash site of the second Pelican. Clear out the enemies that are here and that drop from the ship that land on the bridge. Let the Warthog deal with the small ship as you take out the grunts. When all is quiet, hop in the warthog and go for a drive.



A Day at the Beach

When you are on/in the Warthog, head for the group of Covenant enemies and start taking them all down, when they all defeated, head for the next section of beach past the wall and continue the fight there. When the large drop ships start to appear take it and watch out for its fire. The next area will have grunts and elites as well as ghost ships to take down. Again kill everything in sight and then head for the tunnel to the far left of where you entered. I got out from driving and took over the guns and let the marine pilot the way. It was much easier this way, until they started driving into each other.



Speed Zone Ahead

For this part of this mission all you need to do is simply drive through the tunnel and destroy everything in sight. You will want to take the controls of the warthog for this part since there are other Warthogs and they just like to smash into each other. You will come to one section of tunnel where there are three Wraiths that you need to take out. Do so and continue to roll past until you reach the outside.

Metropolis

Ladies like Armor Plating

For this next part, hop in the Scorpion tank and roll to the left across the bridge. Continue along using the cannon to blast everything in sight. All you will really need to fight is Ghost ships until you reach the tunnel on the far side. Drive down the tunnel to the bottom and there will be a warthog on the right to help give you cover. Continue till you reach the large doors and hop out. Go up the ramp on the right and move with your team to take out the Jackals and elites at the end. Head up the ramp that is lit up red on the right after you pass the group of enemies there and it will take you to the surface where the big boy, the scarab, is.



This Town Ain’t Big enough For the Both of Us

When you enter the area, use the sniper beam rifle to start taking out everyone you can. When you are done there, head left to the marines and grab the shotgun off them. Enter the area and start killing everyone one sight. Warthogs will be driving around the bottom so hop down and man one of them to start taking out the Ghost ships that appear. When they are all down, enter the next area and repeat the same thing. When you drive into the small corridor by the water fall, you will make a left and enter the city streets. Take out more ghost ships and the wraiths that are at the far end to the left. You will be told that the marines are in the building there.



Field Expedient

When the doors open, head for it and grab the Rocket Launcher from the marine. Head up the stairs on the right and up the next set till you reach some glass doors. Go through there and hang a right along the walkway there. To the left will be the Scarab walking along the street. Continue along the walkway and grab the rocket rounds and the rifle. Walk to the bridge on the left and hop on top of the Scarab when it walks under you. When you land, run down it and to the left or right and there will be a crap load of enemies there. Take out a few and run inside the scarab down the ramp. Enter the blue control room and use the Rocket Launcher to clear out the room and the Scarab will go down

The Arbiter

A Whisper in the Storm

Move forward and to the right where the rest of your squad is. Follow them down the ramp to the large door that they are working to get through. When they do, follow them to the next door and they will turn on their cloaking devices. Go through the door and wipe out the enemies there and continue through the room. Go down the slope in the next room with the blue stripes and down the ramp at the end to swing under the slope. Kill the enemies here and grab the weapon of your choosing from the weapon racks at the bottom. Make your way around the corridor to come to a light blue switch in the center that will lower the lift. Ride it down to the hanger and immediately head for the far end.



Press the switch there to open the bay door and to allow a ship to enter with reinforcements. Take everybody in the area out and the door under where you entered will open. Follow the passage around. Kill the enemies there and head through the next door and down the ramp and head to the left. Turn on your cloaking when you round the corner there and continue making you r way down and around the ramps leading down further and further. When you come to the light blue door, make a left and follow the passage there along. You will come to another blue lit door on the right to go through and another on the left which will lead you into a room with a large window. Head up the ramp on the left side and at the top will be another door to go through. Make a left down the ramp and you will be told the Heretics are mobilizing their air force.



To The Hunt

Go through the door that opens at the bottom of the ramp and you will come out to a flight deck. Hop in the Banshee and fly around taking out the heretic Banshee’s that are around. Continue taking them out and following the Wraith from section to section. After awhile of killing the enemy Banshee’s you will be told to clear the landing pad below and to land to enter the building. Move to where the tag marker indicates you to land and do so. Clear off the pad and enter the door there to trigger a scene.

The Oracle

Juggernaut

Walk forward and head through two sets of doors to enter the abandoned lab where a Cortana will appear and talk to you. After it is done, some flood will drop in and take over the dead bodies on the ground. Kill them all and then the door opposite of where you entered from will open. Head through to the next lab and there will be some more parasites that are being attacked by Sentinels. Take them out and the few more that appear and then the floor will start to lower. It will lower and stop about three time before it hits the ground and each time the dead heretics will come and attack. When you reach the bottom, go through the door and down the long hallway to another large room will a full scale battle going on.



Enter the room and try to grab a plasma cannon right away. Use it to start killing everything in sight. There will be three or four waves of enemies that appear until the door to the far right of where you entered will open. When it does, head in side and let the lift move and the other door inside it will open. Head through and start to make your way to the right and up the ramp and around to the end where there will be a blue lit door on the left. Enter it and then enter the large blue door to enter a very large room. At the far end across from you will be the leader behind a blue shield. Kill everyone in the room and then a scene will play with the leader escaping. Head up the ramps to get to the elevator in the center of the room after the scene and hop on it as it takes you up.



Hey, Watch This!

Now that you are in the cable room, run up the slope and around the room will be three structures that have a large cable coming out of them. Grab an energy sword and run to each one, slashing the cable at the rear of the structure. After you have slashed all three, head back to the elevator in the center and ride it down. You now need to catch the heretic leader before he escapes the hanger. Drop to the bottom of the room when the lift stops and go through the blue door there. Follow it through the room to the door the leader was hiding behind and drop down the opening where the lift switch is. Make your way through the door at the end of the hall and make a left as you come out to the open area. Run left along the walk way three and down the ramp to the door at the bottom. When you enter, a scene will play and the leader will take off on a Banshee. Chase after him and you will be told to enter the building instead. Fly to the tag marker and a scene will play showing you enter.



Dead or Alive, Actually, Just Dead

Head up the ramp and make a left. Go through the room to the door on the right and make another left. When you come out to the long corridor with explosions and blocks, Make your way left to the far end and go through the door on the right. Follow the red hall all the way up the many ramps, through the large room to the door on the far left and up more ramps. Go through the door at the top and you will reach the hanger where the leader is. After the scene, hack and slash your way through the leader replicas and take down the main man himself with a few swipes.

Delta Halo

HellJumpers

Now that you are back in control of the Master Chief, Make your way up the path to the ruins. Take out the Covenants there and continue to fight them off after the two shipments of Phantoms come in to drop off more enemies. After the waves and waves of enemies are dead, the two Pelicans will enter the area to drop off some Warthogs. Hop in and drive up along the path to the lake shore. When you reach it, head right and there will be some Covenants raising a bridge there to keep you from getting to the other side.



Kill the enemies here and the Wraith on the other side of the water that will be flipping your Warthog. When all are dead, enter the building next to the bridge and hop down into the opening to hit the switch below. It will extend the bridge and then you can go back to hopping into your warthog and crossing the bridge. When you cross, take out the two Wraiths and the numerous Ghost ships that appear. Make your way to the right and up the ramp in the cave and down the other side. Continue around the corner and up into the next section of the building.



You Break it, You Buy it

Make your way through the ruins on the back of the warthog and let the other guys worry about driving. It’s the easiest way through and save a lot of driving hassles. When you reach the wide open area of ruins, you will be told that this is where the Covenant is holed up and you need to clear it out to create a landing area for the Pelican. Hop out of the warthog when all is clear and enter the center of the ruins across from where you entered the area. In the center area will be a load more enemies to take care of. Wipe them out and head up the ramp on the left and then through the cave.



Off The Rock, Through the Bush, Nothing but Jackal

Make your way to the top of the waterfall and pop the sniper to your right. Grab his gun and then start popping the heads off the enemies crowded below. Start making your way lower and forward as the area gets clearer. There is a dark tunnel you can enter across from the water fall that has a dead marine in it with a few weapons on him. Grab those and then head up to the highest level above that cave and go through the passage there to reach the large structure. Make you way in to it by going down the ramp. Enter the two doors there and enter the room. There will be some elites inside with energy swords. Take them down and a scene will play about the Prophet.

Regret

Testament

Now you need to make your way through the first tower on your hunt for the prophet, Regret. Kill the enemies that appear and then make your way out the door on the second floor. Head along the walk way and take the walkway across to the center section. From there go left and it will swing around to a large center area with many more Covenants. When you defeat them all, you’ll get a call telling you that more enemies have been diverted to you. A pelican will fly over and drop supplies for you and then a large gondola will float over will Covenant soldiers aboard. Take them all down and hop aboard it yourself. Make your way to the front of it and hit the switch to have it carry you over to the far tower.



One Way Ticket

Ride the gondola across and half way it will stop as another comes up beside it. Attack the enemies on it and when they are all toast, the gondola will continue on to the tower. Enter the tower and clear out the enemies from the center room. When they are all toast, you will be told about the large hole in the ground as an elevator rises in the shaft. Take out the enemies that exit it and then hop in it yourself to go for a ride to the next tower. When it comes to an end, walk off and follow the long hallway to the end. Head up the ramp there and continue up the next few in the center to the right, or left. When you reach the top and go through the door, there will be a few flying enemies and an honor guard to deal with.



Take them all down and as you move to the opposite side of the large area at the bottom of the ramps here. As you approach the other side, there will be two Hunters that come out as well as a few snipers around the perimeter. Carefully take everyone out before continuing through the door on the other side. When you enter, follow the passage around the next door and head through. Take out the covenants in the long water filled hallway as you pass through. Head up the ramp and down the other side to come to the elevator room. Take it down and you’ll go for another ride. Exit the elevator and follow the hallway forward.



Kill the elite soldiers there and grab the weapons on the wall if you like. Continue through the next room and onto the outside. Kill the enemies here and when they are dead, a pelican will fly over to drop some marines to help you out. Head up the path and into the next area to fin d another set of ruins and more enemies. Kill the baddies in here and when they are dead, another gondola will dock. Hop on it and press the button to activate it and it will take you across to the main temple. Like the last gondola ride, another gondola will come up beside you and attack. Destroy the passengers and when you reach the main temple, a scene will play.



Sorry, Were You in the Middle of Something?

Make your way up the ramp and enter the temple. Kill the enemies there and continue down the hall to the right. It will lead to a large room where the Prophet will be at the far end. Kill the grunts and elites as you make your way there and when you reach the prophet, the battle with him will begin. Smack his guards around a little bit and they are gone and when he gets close, press and hold X to jump on his flying cart. When you are on it, press B and give him a few shots in the head. After he goes down, a long and odd scene will play to end the mission.

Uncomfortable Silence

Now that you are aback in control of the Arbiter, head inside the building and jump up through the opening ahead of you. Grab a gun and fire at the white rectangle on the column to the left and it will rise up after the light turns blue. Drop down the hole and you will come to another piston. Press X and it will open to allow you to jump in. When you hit the ground, head through the open door way. Continue forward and you will eventually come to another piston. Activate it and drop down the opening and head through the doorway. Continue to where you’ll meet up with a grunt and some Jackals and then make your way to the left.



At the end there will be a large and long hallway. Head down it and you’ll be told the shield generator is near by. Enter the room and there will be a few flying enemies that come out of holes in the walls. Toss a grenade at each hole and blow them up so no more enemies can come through. When all is clear hit the far end of the room and make a right. Use piston there to drop down through and follow the room here through to the far side and to another piston. When you move it and hop down the opening, you will be told you are at the shield generator. Take a look inside and there will be a guardian floating about with a shield on his front.



Hop in the room with your cloak shield on and hide behind a pillar. Let him see you and then hide. When he floats over, throw the cloak on and run behind him and start firing at him. When the cloak wears off, hide behind a pillar again. When he floats over to your direction, throw it on and run behind him again and keep repeating that until he goes down. When he does, there are for power plugs in the room that you need to deactivate. Head to each one located on the small pillars and after the fourth, the control panel will open in the center. Use it to de-activate the shield and the platform will lower.



Buyer’s Remorse

Stay on the platform as it moves outside and to another building. As it reaches it, another guardian with the shield on the front will appear and go after the ship. Take it down and enter the area where there will be some dead marines and robots fighting. Grab any weapons you can and then hop through the opening on the side of the wall to enter a corridor that leads to the right. Follow it to the end and there will be a piston there to activate. Do so and drop down through the opening. Head to the end of the hall past the Floods and Sentinels there and activate the next piston. Again, drop down and enter the opening on the left to enter a corridor with a swarm of dead marines and Floods.

Make your way to the end of it and there will be a piston room at the end with a few Flood Carriers in there. Activate the piston and drop down and you’ll be outside. Head to the left and kill all the enemies in sight and you will come to more enemies and a piston on the back wall. Use it to open the shaft and drop in to a murky foggy area below. Head through the corridor and you will come to a long hallway like you went through previously. Continue and you will hear some marines chatting about who they are attacking. As you enter, head to the left and the area will just fill right up with the dead marines and the Floods. Kill everyone in sight and don’t stop firing for a second.



Make your way to the far end and enter the small room on the left to reach a piston. Activate it and drop down and activate the next to come outside. Make your way forward to the edge and activate the piston there. Drop in for a nice long ride to the bottom and drop down. Now there will be a crap load of Covenant floods and a piston near the edge. Kill them all or as many as you can and head for the piston. Open it and drop down again and you will come to a stop at the bottom. Walk out the door and a scene will play.



100,000 Year’s War

Make your way forward and you will start to see more Flood’s and capsules that hold Covenants. When the Covenants get out, they’ll join you in taking down the Flood. Hop across the rocks to reach a camp and destroy all that are there with the cannon. When everyone is dead, head down the cave behind the cannon to the next camp area. Hold off here, killing everything in sight. Once the reinforcements show up in the sky, more floods will appear but when the area is cleaned after that, the scene will play.



Quarantine Zone

Objects in Mirror are Larger than they Appear

After you have cleared out the camp site, hop in a Ghost ship and take down the Enforcer there. Enter the hallway and it will take you inside the building. When you are inside, fight another Enforcer and a few sentinels. As you fight everyone, two more Enforcers will appear and then as you move to the center, Flood marines will show up on Warthogs and a scorpion tank. Take everyone out and hop in the vehicle of your choosing. I picked the tank and rolled up the ramp on the left and through the door in the center of the opposite wall from where you entered. As you roll down the corridor, you’ll come outside and see a battle raging.
