Chapter 1: The Enemy Within

This first mission all you need to do is run across the desert floor until you reach the jump point. When you reach it, jump up to the ledge it is on and press A. On your way to the jump point, you can either just make a straight run for it and not bother with any enemies or you can take out all the enemies you like along the way. It makes no difference either way. After the scene, Walk forward to the jump marker in front of the church and you will head for the city. When you are in the city, keep an eye out for other jump markers to make getting around the city and desert more easier and faster. When you land in the city, you will have the objective of defeating the police resistance. Easy enough for the Hulk to do. Jump to the street and start mashing up some cops. Once you have destroyed enough cop cars and officers, the next objective will appear.

Lightning Strike

Head to the south east and the next objective marker will be there, there will also be another jump marker just to the southwest on top of a building there that you should get. Step in to the mission marker and you will be told to destroy the substations around the city. Each one will be marked on your map, so make your way to each one and HULK SMASH! Them all to itty bitty pieces and take out the choppers that appear to try and stop you. Once all three are destroyed, head south to the next mission marker.

Need-to-Know

This mission is a little different. Now you need to make your way to the Division HQ and find the mainframe computer. Make your way to the marker that indicates where the HQ is and high tail it there. Run up the side of the building and smash the crates on the roof until the mainframe falls out. Once it does, press B to pick it up and then start running and jumping your way back to the jump point. Choppers and the army will be after you with some pretty hefty weapons so make sure you use the buildings for cover and protect the mainframe. Once you reach the jump point, jump back to the church and walk over to the yellow drop point and drop off the mainframe.

Protect and Serve

Now you will be able to buy moves in the church. Enter it if you like and grab some moves. One of the moves you definitely should be picking up is Steel Fists. This will allow you to rip apart cars and put them on your hands. After you are done shopping, jump back to the city. Head to the north west corner and trigger the mission. Now you will need to head to the Bio-Research building and protect it from the tanks that are going to roll up to destroy it. Since tanks can only be destroyed with special attacks, make sure you always have steel fists on. The tanks will be taken out with regular punches as long as you have it on. Keep an eye on all three streets for tanks to roll up. It actually feels like they just appear out of no where and are suddenly in front of the building. Keep moving and smash each tank as they come. Don’t stop since they can take down the building in no time if they are allowed to stay and fire away. Once you have finally beaten them and the timer has run out, the mission will end.

Fire Sale

Well now it seems that you need to go of on a scavenger hunt. You need to find three items, a CAT scan imager, Hydraulic Lifter, and a Substation Generator. Each part will be around you on the map. Pick which ever one you want to go to first, but I went for the CAT scan imager to the far north first since it was the farthest. When you reach the compound, you will need to smash every container there to find it. Once it pops out, grab it and hike back to the jump point. Drop it off at the church and jump back to the city. Next head to the north east and jump on top of the building where the hydraulic lift is. Jump up and down on it and eventually it will collapse. Punch the structure inside and the lift will pop out. Grab it and back to the church with you to drop it off. Back to the city for the final piece and head south when you enter. There will be a shield around the generator and a few soldiers around the area with rocket launchers. Take them all out first and then concentrate on the shield. When they are all toast, head down to the street and pick up the cars and throw them at the shield generator. When you have tossed enough cars to destroy it, grab the generator and high tail it back to the jump point. Choppers will be called in now and will be all over you as you make your way back. Jump on the jump point and you will finally have all three pieces back at the church to complete the mission

Nemesis

Oh boy, boss battle. Now it’s time to face off against Abomination. He may seem pretty tough to start with, really all you need to do and run to the canisters in the center of the room and pick them up. Toss them at Abomination one at a time and he will get knocked down over and over. Once he takes enough damage, he will run to the side of the room and pull up giant barrels from the ground and toss them at you. Avoid them best you can and take this time to grab the life balls that are around the side of the room on the walls. Once Abomination is done tossing the giant barrels, repeat what you did earlier but this time use the barrels he tossed and toss them at him. After a few hits, he’ll be defeated.

Chapter 2: Dark Desert of the Soul

Eye in the Sky

Now that you are headed to the badlands, jump to it and head for the mission marker. When you reach it, you will be told that there are four satellite uplinks that you need to destroy. Destroying is what you do best so get to it. For the first one in the town, take it out quickly and then 4 choppers will come in to play. Take them out before leaving or else they will harass you the whole time. Once they are gone, head along the route for the next. Repeat the same process at each satellite dish and you will stay alive. If you go straight for the dishes, you will get nailed with rockets from every where and not live long to tell about it. Make sure you also grab the two jump points along the way. Once you defeat the fourth dish at the base, the mission will end and you will need to return to the small town for the next mission.

Got Yourself a Convoy

Now it seems the government is building more Hulkbusters and the parts are rolling out to the military base. You need to destroy each of the trucks in each convoy before they reach the base. When the convoy starts rolling out, use run and super long jumps to catch up to it quick. Ignore the tanks and rockets until you destroy the truck. Once you do that, then you can worry about the tanks and stuff. When they are all dead, head back to the Last Chance Café jump spot and wait for the next two convoys to roll out. When they do, repeat the same procedure and the mission will be passed.

HeadHunter

Run to the military base and then head through the tunnel to get to the Hulkbuster training grounds. Once you reach it, hop down the cliff to find the hulkbuster you need and a scene will play. Grab the head and start making your way back through the military base and back towards the jump point. Along the way, if you get hit by a rocket, you will drop the head. The hulkbusters will be all over you, so drop the head somewhere safe and then take them out. When they are down, then you can go retrieve the head and run back to the jump point and back to the church to drop it off.

Proving Grounds

Boss fight! Head for the mission marker outside the church and you will be after the Hulkbuster destroyer prototype. When the battle starts, you will be facing off against a giant robot. Run away from it for now and take out the satellite dishes around the area. When you start beating on the destroyer too much, he will call out hulkbusters to help him and the satellites are what do it. The destroyer loves firing salvos of missiles at you, so make sure you have the missile deflect move before entering this battle. When he starts firing them at you, bounce them back at him for some hefty damage. Also stay away from him when he is using his beam attacks, or jump over it as it swoops at you. The destroyer has a lot of life so he will take quite a beating. Use everything around the area to throw at him when you are far away, and use some hefty combos when you are up close. He will drop eventually but it may take more than a few poundings on him.

Chapter Three: No Mercy

Authority Issues

Head to the mission marker and make your way to the building where the chief warden is. When you find him on top, he will have a large amount of health and it will take a while to whittle it down. Once you have pounded him down to one bar left, he will run back to the top of the building and recharge some health back. When he does this, he will keep running away from you, luring you to the tops of other buildings where rocket soldiers will be waiting. Continue to follow him until he finally stops in a park with some tanks and hulk busters. Take them all down and then focus back on the chief. Throwing stuff at him seems to work the best to take down his health a bit at a time. Once you defeat him, grab his module and head for the closest jump point and head back to the church to drop it off and to complete the mission.

Frantic Recovery

For this mission, you need to follow the delivery truck and bring it back to the church. Of course nothing is that easy right? The truck has an energy shield around it so you need to toss things at it to take it down. If you touch the truck, you will get thrown back. You will also be hounded non stop by tanks, choppers and hulkbusters. Stay close to the truck and the choppers and tanks will take the shield on the truck down for you by hitting it. Once the icon above truck turns yellow, pick up the truck and jump your way all the way back to a jump point and then back to the church to drop off the truck there.

Mercy

For this mission you need to find two fuel rods and return to the church. Unfortunately, you won’t get the chance to do that before the boss appears. When Mercy enters the battle is on. Throwing objects at Mercy has absolutely no effect on her so you need to use brute strength. I found that jumping over her and then charging up a punch attack worked the best to take her down. Once you get her down to half her health, a scene will play and she will up her attacks. Instead of one beam, she will shoot out 4 and will pelt you with objects around the room in a flurry of hits. Keep an eye on your health and always have her targeted to make sure you attacks land as she likes to teleport around the room. Once you punch her enough times, she will finally fall for good.

Chapter 4: Cry Havoc

Clean Sweep

For this mission, there are three gas pods that you need to grab, carry to the ocean and then toss in with a hammer throw. Before you start the mission, make sure you have Hammer Toss and Missile Catch as moves. At each gas pod, there will be destroyer mechs and sorted tanks and choppers. ALWAYS clear them out before taking the gas pod. The destroyer mechs can be taken down easily by catching their missiles and throwing them back at the mech. Usually it only takes a few hits to destroy them this way. As you grab each pod, quickly run to the ocean side and then start the hammer toss. Make sure you turn the analog stick counter-clock wise to throw it in. Do this for each of the three pods and the mission will be complete. Remember to clear out each of the enemies before picking up the pod though. There will also be a jump point you can find right beside the mission marker when you begin. Make sure you grab it.

A Bird in the Hand

Chopper hunting time! Now you need to catch up to a chopper carrying some uranium that you need. To start you have 45 seconds to reach where the chopper is taking off from. Once you get there, the chopper will lift off and it will have an escort of fighter jets. Try to cut off the chopper so that you can get ahead of it or at least close to it. It can be tricky at times to reach and it will land once to get some hulkbuster help. Keep your focus on the chopper until you knock it out of the sky. Once you do that, then you can worry about the hulkbusters and jets. Take them out and then you can safely carry the uranium canister to a jump point and head back to the church to drop it off.

Lockdown

Seems the doctor wants to go for a drive. For this mission, you will need to follow the doc in his car and clear a path for him so that his car doesn’t get destroyed. Why you don’t just pick him up and carry him, I don’t know. Always try to stay ahead of doc so that you can start clearing the path before he gets there. Once you start attacking the tanks and choppers, they will focus on you and not the car. The small soldiers you need to keep an eye on so keep watch of the radar map and watch for any red dots that are enemies you may have missed. Once you get half way through, a check point will save. This is a long mission, but it’s very repetitive. Just make sure you take out everything in sight and the good doctor will drive off on his own to complete the mission.

My Other Voice

Time for some destruction. Now you need to make your way to the division intelligence facility and chemical facility. When you reach the chemical facility, there will be a gang of hulk busters and choppers tying to stop you. Take them out and then focus on the building. Once the two sides of the building are down, you need to make your way to the intelligence division and take down the destroyers in your way. Once they are down and the building is destroyed, it’s off to the division armory and more destroyers. Repeat the same thing, this time killing two destroyers and a gaggle of hulkbusters and finally finishing of the armory. Once they are all down, return to the church.

Turning Point

Ah boy. The mechs just get bigger and bigger. Well now you get to face off against General Ross in his Titan armor. Since you need to have Hammer Toss for this mission, it’s pretty easy guess how you’ll need to defeat him. Once the battle starts, run away from Titan and watch the radar for some red dots to show up. These will be tanks that will roll in across the bridge. There will always be a tank at the end of a street at the corner so you can basically just run from corner to corner to keep finding them. Walk up to a tank and grab it and slowly spin it until Titan shows up. When it does, target one of his two weapons on his shoulders and then spin the tank fast to throw it there. It will take two or three tanks for each of the weapons and then finally a few more to take down the main body. It really is pretty simple since you can’t get knocked down while spinning a tank and you can also use it like a bat and deflect missiles back at him. Once you master the tank throwing, this big robot is easy as pie.

Chapter 5: Inner Sanctum

Without Parole

Oh the vault. No prison can hold the Hulk! Make your way through the doors and through the hallway. You can either choose to fight the vault guards that show up or just run past them and out the open door at the end. When you run through the door, it will close behind you so you don’t have to worry about them any more. Once you get out into the large room, another super mech will enter. Grab a car and use steel hands and go to town on it. Once you nail it a few times, two vault guards will enter, but if you stand toe to toe with the mech and keep pummeling it, you should be able to take it down before the guards even get to you. Once it is down, go to the jump point at the far end of where you entered and jump out to end the mission.

Topside

Now that you are outside of the vault, it’s time to get back to the church. Make your way to the shield that is blocking the opening and you will need to target the shield generators on the other side. Toss something at each one, preferably a missile, since they will take them out in one hit. When the shield drops, run through and go to the next shield. You will need to do this 2 more times to get past the next sets of shields and then eventually the jump point will be across the way from you. Once you reach it, hop back to the church to complete the mission.

Chapter 6: To the Devil His Due

Strange Cargo

For this mission to need to find a Power regulator and a control module. First things first though. You will need to find a transport truck to disguise yourself. Head to the first marker and there will be truck inside labeled for you to pick up. Grab it and run all the way to the next marker near the military base. When you reach the marker, slam the truck on your head and “drive” to the base and through the shield into the restricted area. When you are inside, shake off the truck and the control module will be on a tower. Kill the enemies first and then grab the module. Head for the shield at the tunnel and destroy the shield generators there. When the shield goes down, go through and drop the module. Kill the rest of the enemies out here and pick it up and head for the jump point. Once you reach the church, drop it off and head back to the badlands. Go to the town to the second marker and you will get tricked into a shield dome. When the Hulkbusters enter, grab them and toss them at each of the four generators. Once they are all down and the shield is no more, grab the power module and hike back to the jump point. You will get attacked a few times by more Hulk busters, so make sure you drop the module away from the battle so it doesn’t get destroyed.

Freedom’s Swansong

Defense! Ok time to defend the church from the military. First off there will be two jets that attack. Use either jump attacks or toss some cars at them to defeat them. Once they are down, some hulk busters and tanks will roll in. After a minute or two, there will be a Titan that comes in. Toss two tanks at the Titan to drop it and then use the rest of the tanks to bat the hulkbusters around. Once they are down, there will be another wave of hulkbusters, tanks and a Titan. Again just toss the tanks at the Titan to drop it quickly, don’t worry about targeting its weapons. Then after it is down, use the remaining tanks to kill the hulkbusters and any tanks left over. With out the tanks to take down the Titans, this mission is hard as hell, but as long as you use the tanks on them before they get to the church, it’s simple.

Crossroads

Oh creepy, it’s the Devil hulk. This is probably the easiest boss battle of the game. There are three egg shaped crystals around the devil hulk that is in the center of the platform. Devil Hulk will raise rocks in front of you to attack as well as take bites and swipes at you. Use jump attacks to take out the crystals while targeted and then Devil Hulk will climb out of his hole and come after you. When he does, you can use the same jump, air dash attacks that you used on the crystals to attack devil hulk. After a minute or so, Devil Hulk will climb back in his hole and the entire process will repeat as it started. Keep on repeating the same process each time he climbs in and out of his hole and he will drop in no time.

Chapter 7: The Garden of Good and Evil

Intercept

From the start of the mission, jump to the badlands and head for the entrance to the vault. You won’t have to fight anyone until you get there, but when you do, there will be a mech waiting for you. Lure it out of the entrance and back down the canyon to find some tanks. Use the hammer toss on them and toss them at the mech to take it down fast. After it is down, head back to the entrance and head down the stairs. After the scene is over, you’ll need to follow Abomination. As he runs through the canyon, follow him and when his icon turns red, you will need to smash on him. The military will be attacking both of you, so you can really just run around and try not to get hit and Abomination will still go down eventually. Use tank throws and missile packs to take him down the quickest. When you knock down his life bars, his icon will turn green again and he’ll take off again. He will stop three times along the way and then eventually will jump out of the canyon and the mission will end. Jump on the mission marker where he jumped out to continue.

Endgame

Well this is it. The final showdown with Abomination. There are four generators around the area that he will try to destroy to take down the dam. There will also be two fighter jets flying over head that will attack both of you. Leave them alone and concentrate on Abomination. There are a few ways you can take him down, but the easiest way that I found was to run around the circular area and grab trucks as you go, Target him and toss them while you are still running. Keep on running around in a circle picking up objects and throwing them with out stopping. This along with the jets will knock down his health quickly and he won’t hurt you much since you’ll be ahead of him continually running away from him. Once he does finally fall, pat yourself on the back because you have beaten the game!
