Carnage:

When you first start the battle with Carnage, please don’t laugh at him. He is insecure about his height. Actually it just looks funny seeing how small he is. The battle with carnage is not difficult, but it is a little long. There are also only a few attacks that he does that you really need to watch out for. When his tentacles start flailing wildly and he screams into the air, jump back because he will start whipping them around in a circle to knock you over. Other than that, start wailing on him with your tentacles from a distance or in close with your claws. Jumping over his tentacle attacks and then hacking away at him gets his health down pretty quick. Once he has had enough of you, he will run through a door and you will need to open it to get into the next room. When Carnage enters, he will start to feed on the people in there and regain his health and if you take too long getting through the door, he will run through another.

Enter the room and feed on anyone still alive and then head through the next door. Once you enter here, there will be a lot of cops firing at the both of you. Feed on them if you need to and stop carnage from doing so. Keep up the attacks on him like you did in the earlier room and once again he will head for another door and go through. Follow him after you feed on everyone left in here and enter the lab. This will be the last room, so go to town on him and use the same moves to take out his health. Watch for people in the room that he will try and feed on and give him some good whaps when he tries. He will jump away at times and hide out some where in the room. Being small, he can be hard to find while he regenerates his life. Find him and continue your ass kicking on him with your claws and tentacles and he will easily drop eventually.

Venom:

After the scene with Trask is over, it’s up to you to stop Venom once and for all. Now that he has absorbed Carnage and his suit now has the awesome white spider on it, he is one bad ass. Venom will immediately head for the chopper that Trask is trying to escape in. If Venom destroys the chopper, you will fail the mission. With that said, run up and start wailing on Venom and when he turns and roars, jump out of the way. Don’t jump up however. If you do, you’ll get nailed by the chopper blades. Jump away and Venom will chase you. He will roar and then do his three attack combo with his tentacles. When he roars, you can jump at him and get in two kicks and then quickly jump away while he attacks.

When he is done attacking, jump and kick him two more times. Keep on repeating this until he hits you and then runs back to the chopper or until he decides to pick up one of the objects around the area to throw. Chances are he will hit you and run back to the chopper, so run back over there and get your free shots in and jump away again. After while of doing this, Venom will pick up some fuel barrels and start a bigger fire on the roof. When he does, and you attack him as he hits the chopper, he won’t follow you off the landing pad. Jump back, not into the fire, and then jump back to the chopper and continue to wail on Eddie. Once you have done this enough times, he will fall and the ending scenes will play.

Congratulations! Now that the game’s storyline is finished, feel free to return to the city and finish off the rest of the city event, combat tours, and races and see if you can find all the tokens!

Editor's Note: While this walkthrough is based on playing through the Xbox version of the game, it will work just as well for the Gamecube and PlayStation 2 versions of the game.
