The World Series of Video Games announced today that it has joined forces with AOL to create a co-branded, online destination for the WSVG's video game tournaments, and to promote the WSVG's tournaments and players. Additional media partnerships include Future US, Amped News, DC Comics and Mad Magazine. The announcement was made by Games Media Properties executives Matthew Ringel and Scott Valencia. The AOL partnership will span the entire World Series of Video Games international circuit of eight events, including the finals at which world champions will be named for a number of popular Xbox and PC games. Under the terms of the agreement, AOL will create a dedicated, co-branded area on www.aol.com/wsvg on AOL Games with news and video coverage of all WSVG events, AIM Pages profiles of select participants, tips and tricks from professional games and a calendar of WSVG events and tournaments.
