Activision’s Guitar Hero II, Call of Duty 3 and Tony Hawk’s Project 8 earned top honors at the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences’ 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, held last evening at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Guitar Hero II received two awards at the ceremony, including Family Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Soundtrack, while Call of Duty 3 and Tony Hawk’s Project 8 were recognized with Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design and Sports Game of the Year, respectively. Hosted by famed comedian/actor Jay Mohr, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Awards Show was held in conjunction with the D.I.C.E. Summit, an annual conference that brings together the top video game designers and developers and business leaders to discuss the state of the industry.
