EA Mobile today announced the launch of The Sims FreePlay, a brand new app that lets users experience the popular life-simulation franchise The Sims on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. In The Sims FreePlay, players build, customize and orchestrate a town of Sims for free on their mobile devices, including a version optimized for the iPad.

The Sims FreePlay lets players develop the storylines of up to 16 different Sims in a world that follows a real-time, 24-hour clock. Players can also choose from 1,200 ways to customize their homes, form relationships between their Sims, take part in various activities like caring for pets to growing gardens, and a whole lot more.
