Author: James Fudge

TAITO has released RAYFORCE for iPhone and iPod touch. Available for download from the App Store, the shooting game combines classic arcade game play with new smartphone-exclusive options.

The first installment in what the company calls a space shooting game trilogy (RAYSTORM and RAYCRISIS to be released at a later date), RAYFORCE is a remake of the 1993 arcade classic of the same name.

RAYFORCE includes a variety of features including intuitive smartphone controls and a number of customization options that allow players to change the game to best suit their individual play styles. Purists may choose to view the game with its original arcade aspect ratio, while others may enjoy the game in the full-screen zoomed mode.

Look for the game on the App Store now for US $11.99.
