Xbox co-creator Seamus Blackley announced a new company dedicated to brining arcade style gaming to mobile platforms today. The new company, Innovative Leisure, will have its first public engagement next week at the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) today unveiled “The New Arcade” panel, which will feature members from Innovative Leisure. Innovative Leisure’s first appearance during The New Arcade” panel, will serve as the Thursday Keynote (February 9) during the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit conference.

Seamus's plan with this new company is to bring together a group of iconic arcade era game developers to create social games in collaboration with talented, young designers. He'll be at D.I.C.E., along with Rich Adam (Missile Command), Ed Logg (Asteroids, Centipede and this year’s AIAS Pioneer Award recipient), Ed Rotberg (Battlezone), and Owen Rubin (Major Havoc).

D.I.C.E. Summit takes place February 8-10, 2012 and is open only to industry professionals.
