"I will have my revenge…by raiding your wallet this holiday season." Oh yes, from the hallowed days of Nintendo yore, hardcore and new fans alike will be blessed this holiday season with the arrival of Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden. Joining with the power of the Xbox console, Ninja Gaiden has generated quite the buzz since it's announcement during last year's E3. According to a Tecmo press release, "The goal of Tecmo's esteemed developing group, Team Ninja is to create an action game unlike anything the gaming community has ever seen; a game that will redefine the boundaries of the action genre. Presented on one of the most advanced hardware platform of our time, the Xbox, the game will be an entirely new experience that will pass on the spirit of the original million-seller series from the early nineties." Already setting it's standpoint as the most anticipated Xbox game next to Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden promises to be a game filled with pure action and an amazing level of detail.

Once again, players will take up the sword of Ryu Hayabusa, as he seeks revenge against the Vigor Empire for the massacre of his clan. Using full three-dimensional space and an astounding level of detail only Xbox can bring, Ninja Gaiden will quell the desires of those hardcore fans that have yearned for a true ninja experience since the nineties. After teasing gamer's with his appearance in the Dead or Alive series, Ryu will once again regain his glory as he hacks and slashes his way through the Vigor Empire to defeat the Holy Emperor and regain the magic sword "Ryuken".

With increased skills and new weapons, players will be able to live the way of the sword along with Ryu. Progressing through the game will reward player's with new combinations and skills to take down the unrighteous and avenge your fallen clan. Ninja Gaiden boasts realistic battle sequences and cunning feats of acrobatic ninja moves. Yes folks, the wall jumps and superhuman agility you come to expect from the ninja master are all present and accounted for. Team Ninja has also created a revolutionary new Xbox Live compatible feature within Ninja Gaiden which has yet to be revealed. Information is under a tight lid, but this new feature is being billed as "nothing any gamer has experienced in an action game before".

Filled with staggering visual effects such as highly rendered environments, detailed characters, and realistic combat; Ninja Gaiden is shaping up to be a must have title for the Xbox console. Team Ninja is even taking the action a step further with added effects to give you that ninja feel. Life-like sounds of swords slicing through air and visually stunning sprays of blood from your enemies will definitely hit the mark this holiday season as Ryu slashes his way to an Xbox debut.
