Another killer is the game freeze bug when play on the screen simply stops. This was tested on several Xbox drives and it happens on all of them. It doesn't happen every single game but usually one game in ten or so will freeze; sometimes the game catches up and play resumes, other times you'll need to turn off the Xbox and start over.

Taking the game online is definitely worth checking out if, and only if, you can find good people to play against. Joining a random game is a recipe to playing someone that shoots nothing but three-pointers or someone that runs the fast break 100% of the time. As with most online sports games, it's best to know your opponent for maximum enjoyment. If you can get a good game, College Hoops plays well over XBL and supports basic league and tourney play. Hopefully one day we can reach the pinnacle and play in an online Legacy mode, but that option isn't available yet.

In the end, it's a shame that the bugs in the game were not fixed prior to release; it is unimaginable that they weren't noticed by the design team. They're pretty blatant. The game was rushed out the door and at times it shows. It's also the only thing keeping it from being a 5 star elite level title. If you're a college basketball fan for $20 it still comes strongly recommended but because of the technical issues it's not the slam dunk it should have been.
